Sacraments in the Early Church

We're almost at the end of the course! We hope you're enjoying it so far.

In Session 7, we will take a deep dive into the sacred heart of early Christian worship—the sacraments. We'll explore how sacraments like baptism and communion were not just ritualistic practices but vital, grace-filled encounters with Christ. Delving into the transformative power of ordinary elements blessed by the Word of God, we'll understand the early Church's emphasis on catechesis before baptism, the communal nature of these sacred rites, and the profound belief in communion as the presence of Christ among His people. Discover how these practices were performed with deep reverence, shaping the Christian identity and uniting the faithful in a profound experience of God's kingdom. Join me as we uncover the significance of the sacraments in forming the worship service and the life of the early Christian community.
